As we continue to research the rich history of our historic Meeme House, we know the Herr family and the community loved to celebrate and have a gathering. Pictured here is an advertisement from the Feb 26, 1869 edition of the Manitowoc Pilot, showcasing a "Fenian Ball".
The community of Irish immigrants near Meeme, present day Osman, were proud of their heritage and their mother country.
