Heritage Maker’s Market

Saturday, June 28 from 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday, June 29 from 10 am to 2 pm


Join historic artisans for a celebration of Wisconsin’s rich folk life traditions!

Experience the sights, smells, music, and craftsmanship in this juried event featuring artisans selling their wares and opportunities for hands-on creations. Discover a heritage craft, such as spinning and knitting. Explore heritage farm skills, such as wood-stove cooking and antique machinery. Watch specialty craftsmen such as blacksmiths, cobblers, and broom makers create their wares.

Your Turn!

Various demonstrations invite you to try your hand at being a Maker:

Guests can join members of the Upper Midwest Blacksmith Association (UMBA), for a special hands-on program. There will be multiple forging stations—complete with forge, anvil, vise and tools— fired up and skilled regional blacksmiths will provide hands-on instruction for guests.

Your Turn! Make a small iron object using the same heat and hammer techniques practiced at the historical village’s shop.


Lowe’s Little Maker’s –
Things To Do

Take home a Lowe’s Make and Take kit (available while supplies last).

Take part in early 20th century games.
